Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026
This policy explains what information is collected when you visit The Square Foot Lab (the "Site") and how it is used. The short version: the Site itself collects as little as possible.
What the Site does not do
- No accounts, comments, contact forms, or sign-up forms.
- No newsletter.
- No analytics or tracking scripts, and no advertising networks.
- The Site does not set cookies.
- If you choose a light or dark theme, that choice is saved in your own browser (local storage) so it stays the same on the next page. It is never sent to us, and you can clear it in your browser settings.
- The search box on the Topics page runs entirely in your browser. What you type is not sent to us.
Hosting and server logs
The Site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like most hosting providers, Cloudflare may automatically process technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request, to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse. This is handled under Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
Amazon and affiliate links
The Square Foot Lab is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click a link to Amazon, you leave the Site. Amazon may use cookies and collect information, for example to attribute a purchase to this Site, under Amazon's own privacy notice. We don't receive your name, address, or payment details from Amazon. See theAffiliate Disclosure.
Other websites
The Site links to other websites. Their privacy practices are their own, so please review their policies.
Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
We don't sell or share personal information. The Site itself does not collect information that identifies you, so there is no personal data held by the Site to access or delete. Data processed by Cloudflare or Amazon is handled under their own privacy policies, and requests about that data go to them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the Site handles information, for example by adding analytics, we will update this page first. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
